Zovirax Cold Sore Cream is most effective when applied topically in the mouth or into the skin. The cream is easy to apply and can be used on an ongoing basis without needing to see a doctor. The cream is generally not recommended for vaginal, anal, or oral sex.
The recommended dose is one 5 g tube of Zovirax Cold Sore Cream three times daily for four days. The cream is then soothing and effective against the sores and pain. If using Zovirax Cold Sore Cream daily the cream may be used for other reasons.
